This policy covers cookthespanishway.com, the website for The Way Spain Cooks at Home, a digital cookbook by Amparo Ferrer. Amparo is a character created for the YouTube channel @CooktheSpanishWay. What this site collects
Very little. You can read every page, watch the video and download the free sample without an account, a form or an email address. The site sets no cookies. Its pictures, fonts, video and sample are served from the site itself, not from YouTube, Google or another outside service.
When you buy the book
The book is sold through Gumroad. When you buy, Gumroad collects your name, email address and payment details and handles the payment. Your card details go to Gumroad and its payment processors, never to us. Gumroad's privacy policy (gumroad.com/privacy) explains what Gumroad does with your information.
Gumroad shares your name, email address and the details of your purchase with us, as the seller. We use them only to deliver the book, answer your questions and handle refunds. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.
When you write to us
Email sent to hello@cookthespanishway.com is forwarded to the inbox we use for this site. We keep your message and your email address so we can answer you and follow up, and we use them for nothing else.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no cookies and no analytics, and it does not track you across other websites. Like most websites, the companies that host the site and run its domain keep standard technical records, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
Links to other sites
The site links to YouTube and Gumroad. When you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep information
We keep purchase records and emails for as long as we need them to support your purchase, handle refunds, answer you and meet tax and accounting rules.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@cookthespanishway.com. Depending on where you live, for example California or the European Union, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
